Carbon Poker is a skin on Merge, a relatively new online poker operation. They take a lower than average rake: 5-10% on tournament games and 5% in ring games. In terms of deposits and withdrawls, fees are minimum and there is a good selection of options including Click2Pay, Moneybookers and Neteller.
Poker Play
Carbon Poker uses the Merge Gaming software package. This is the best online poker software available. Not only does it provide the standard poker room features, but it has some very innovative and unique features as well.
The graphics for Carbon Poker are not over the top but very practical. This allows the software to run quickly and gives you minimum lag when running multiple tables. You are allowed a small avatar and your country can be displayed. Carbon Poker also has an active chat feature with animated smiley. The fish and donkey graphics which appear over your name when you write 'fish' or 'donkey' are two of my favorites!
Carbon Poker also has a star system which indicates how active a player is. The more stars the player has beside his or her name the more he or she has played at Carbon Poker. This is a good way to spot the sharks at Carbon Poker. Avoid them if possible as there are many newer players who tend to pay off better.
Finally, a few of the play options at Carbon Poker deserve mention. The pot winner is allowed to do a Rabbit Hunt if all of the other players fold. You may also expose just one of your cards while mucking the other. This is the first online poker room where I have seen either of these features.
